Does anybody know which ports on the Break-away coupler are Supply or Return?

The pressure & return ports on breakaway couplers are determined by which direction the control lever is actuated.

So if the lever is in the float position for a loader attachment what is the "in" and "out" ports. Asking because the joy stick control for my loader has two lines that go to the coupler, "in" and "out"

In float position both ports are in & out. That's what float position accomplishes as it will allow a hyd cyl to move in or out with no pressure being applied cyl piston packing. As I previously stated in or out port is determined by which way control lever on tractor is operated. IIRC pushing lever forward on dash will cause LH port to be pressurized. Why not plumb loader to tractor as depicted in photos for better loader operation and free up rear breakaways??

Thank you very much for your help. I just bought the loader and was trying to hook it up the quickest way possible. The direct hookup does sound better though.

Is the direct hookup directional? which is In and Out?

The direct connection with the connections shown or the filter return will reduce or eliminate front pump cavitation when the clutch is depressed.
