Went through Nebraska todayband man have they got water. Lots of creeks right up to the bridges, even on the interstate. Also lots of water in the fields and little work being done. Lots of ground left to plant too. Saw a few tractors out in one area, but only one raising dust. Anyone there with crop damage yet?

Took some corn down to French this week and some straw near Duluth and I'd say we're plenty wet too! Get beans in down there?

Got rained out again tonight. Give it a sunny day with a little wind and well be back at it.

I guess there's been plans for a canal to move some water from the South Platte to the nnalert at times like this for 30 some odd years but it's stuck in committee in the senate, wouldn't take all that long a canal to do it.

Were going to make a full month with daily rain per the upcoming 10 day forecast. A front just went through with another 1.2" in an hour and a half. Flooding is already a problem in low lying areas and farther south where the rivers carry the water to the gulf. All the lakes from West Central TX. to LA. are at capacity or over. Just can't get it right. Drought or Monsoon. Can't ever get a nice usable combination of sun and water. Course we did need some water. Local lake opened it's flood gates for the first time in 5 years, as is my pond finally overflowing.....but enough is enough. I have a field full of grass needing cutting for hay and the commercial guys can't get into their fields to even plant. Planting here is usually done by mid April.

Yup, we're fixing to be in trouble. All of the no till fields were burned down and ready - they are now wooly enough that they will have to be worked with the disk and field cultivator. There is t a field left that's ready to plant. We're so far behind that we are almost ahead for next year.

I've had the lawn mower stuck so many times this year I won't go close to a tractor.

It rains a little bit about every day out here in west texas so may maybe it will fill lakes and make creeks run that haven't ran in years.
