Paint and AC4400 combine

OK while I am thinking about the 4400. Wonder how many gallons of paint it would take to paint a 4400 combine. I'm guessing 3. does anyone have any idea?
Also, my last 4400 had a leak in the AC that could never be found. Does anyone know, other than a leak or compressor, was there any common problem to those air conditioning units I should know about before I start hunting? Thanks guys.

Little leaks are the main cause for AC failures,,and they are hard to find. I use compressed nitrogen and charge it with about twice the working pressure then using a squirt bottle with water/Dawn mixture start soaping till the bubbles show the leak, once you find and fix that leak charge it again and don't stop looking till it will hold the pressure. Compressed nitrogen is an inert gas that has no moisture in it, it is a cheap and effective way to test any pressure system.

You won't get much paint on a combine with 3 gallons. I would guess 5 would be closer. You will use at
least a gallon of each color on a larger 2 tone tractor.

acrylic enamel paint should be mixed 8:6:1 paint:reducer:hardener.

3 gallons makes 1.5 pints less than 6 gallons mixed. Depends on how many coats coverage you need, but I'd imagine 6 gallon would put 1 medium coat on it.
