Nearly Made Me Cry!

Was out cursing around the country side yesterday...

okay busted.. I was out with Casey... :)

ANYWAY, I have been so busy, that I hadn't seen my oat field in about 1 1/2 weeks. So, I told her, lets swing by on our way to the lake and see whats going on. Rolled around the corner in the road and saw nothing but a hazy green field... Not sure why, but knowing that it was so beautiful because of all the work I had put into it made it so, so, special to me. Felt like an instant success!

Right now, they are about 2 inches high, and there is anywhere from 20 - 40 plants per square foot. Sounds pretty good to me?

To add to this, I got a wild hair, and plowed another 1 1/2 acres at home Sunday, Disced it all out Monday, harrowed and packed it yesterday morning, spent the WHOLE afternoon with Casey, took her home, then planted my oats at 9:00 last night!!! Only took me 30 min to do the acre and a half. Went really well.. Can't wait to see what happens!!!

Raining right now... Its go, I mean GROW time! :) So happy.... Can't wait for harvest time!!! :)

Never! You would have seen a perfect tractor leaving a scrap yard on my trailer, and me standing there with an empty wallet! :)

2 years ago someone DROVE(yes drove) a nice JD 95 sb combine/4 row cornhead to our scrap yard. And yes,I 'cried'.

I'm keeping that subject on the "qt".... :p She taught me a few new things yesterday to say the least...

Oh I know... I was up at Steve Hess's place day before yesterday, and his oats are like 1 inch tall, and the field/roads are just powder. Isn't a lick of water up there.

My big oat field was doing O K but needed it bad!!! Glad to have it! Just hope it doesn't mess up Lost In The 50's!! :)
