does anyone know of a good mechanic in northern California that knows how to work on a Ford 8N and a Ford 600. My old mechanic friend died about two years ago and i am lost without him.

Why dont you work on them your self? those tractors are among the easiest there is to work on.All you need are basic hand tools.

I have to agree with Steve, you can do it yourself.

Any decent mechanic should be able to do just about any repair to them provided that they have access to the manuals. If I were you I would order the repair manuals from Yesterdays Tractors then go and talk to local independent mechanics. Let em know you have the manuals and see what comes up if you are bent on having them worked on. As others have stated easy to do it yourself too.
