corn crib ideas

Has anybody ever thought of building a corn crib on top of a old flat bed semi trailer! I think it would be a cheap way to get it up off the ground and kinda portable!

yep thought about doing that . . dod almost that year or so ago . have a 12 foot flat bed with a good floor . set it up on a couple logs sorta level and set some pallets e had arond for sides chicken wire and it held 3 or 4 gravity wagons . kept well also . only spoilage was one corner where the cheap tarp leaked . will make taller sides and a good roof

If you can find an old wire corn crib that someone wants to get rid of you will have your material for the sides right there. Some of the cribs had curved angle iron frames around the panel sections. you could probably flatten them by driving on them. I used to make gates out of wire crib panels. They were HEAVY!
