neat little 3 cyl. diesel. Borrowed it from the neighbor today who'd left it for me & hooked my Bush Hog 5 ft. rototiller to it & did the garden. Never ran a IH before but figured out everything but why it wouldn't start. Good thing the battery was strong. Bad neutral stitch? Prolly not. Clutch down, gear in neutral. What's this lever hidden under the dash between my legs for? Seems to move a cable to the injector pump. AHA! SWMBO is happy; life is good.

Hi, that lever is the STOP/START/RUN control lever. All the way to bottom is STOP, half way up is START only required in cold weather, all the way up is RUN. Yes there is a safety switch where clutch has to be depressed before starter will engage.

PLEASE REMEMBER to RELEASE the PARKING BRAKE LEVER before driving the tractor. The lever is behind your left heel when sitting on the seat.

Good tractor, enjoy.

Didn't know it was 3 position. Got it to run by lever all the way up. Tried to shut it off with the key. Saw that wouldn't work so figured it worked like some dozers & shut off by all the way down. Relieved when that worked.
