Hello, I wasn't sure if I should put my post here or under farmall but thought since it might get a look by someone that may have had this issue before and owned a 400/450 or 460/560 they may have experienced this.

When you pull the center hydraulic lever on the tractor oil comes flooding out from the cap by your feet/gearshift where you fill the transmission/hydraulic cavity. Anyone ever heard of this? it doenst do it when you move the inner lever for the loader lift or the outer lift lever for the drawbar.

Thanks in Advance!!!!

I agree with Owen. The cap is NOT vented, so there is no way for the oil to gush from it unless it is loose. Also, there is no way the rear end cavity could possibly be that full without the oil constantly gushing from several other locations, including the axle housings.

It has to be a pinhole in the hydraulic line that runs across the deck of the tractor.

The lines are not available as new replacement parts, but you do have options. One is to have the line braized but it is likely there are other rust pits on the line ready to let go. The other is to replace with hoses.

This may go without saying - use some caution when trying to locate a pinhole leak in a hydraulic system.

Don't go feeling around with your fingers.

A small diameter leak at high pressure can inject hydraulic fluid right into and under your skin - which is a very bad place for it to be. (Usually has to be cut out).

its definitely coming out from under the cap/lid with the three bolt holes in it, not coming from the metal lines. it doesn't SPRAY it just boils out from under the three spaces between the bolts and is a little foamy - it flows like lava out from under the lid in large quantities - I haven't taken the cap off to see what happens nor have I tried unplugging the rear remotes ( this is what the center lever runs ) and move the lever to see if it still gushes out oil.

It is not leaking at all where the valves are under the steering column and behind the glow plug button it just comes out from under the cap and everything else works fine on the other two levers.

Are there lines inside the cavity that could be filling things up when u pull the lever and the oil is pressurizing that cavity and causing oil to be forced out?
