MF 135 Clutch will not disengage

I have a 1971ish MF 135 with a gas engine. The clutch will not disengage. The pedal was all the way to floor board so we adjusted the pedal and is now stops a couple of inches off the floor board but it still will not disengage the clutch. It actually will drive in all gears. Any ideas on what the issue could be?

Common tractor stuck clutch. What happens is the clutch disk rusts to the flywheel or pressure plate so it sticks. Block the pedal down for a few days and try it or start in out in and open field and hold the pedal down and drive it till it frees up. The heavier the load you can put on it the better. You can also pull the starter off and use brake cleaner spray and spray the clutch are and see if hat helps

Thanks I will give it a try

I've heard of people blocking the clutch down and heating the bellhousing over night with a big salamander heater to free it up. I had a stuck clutch in a honda minibike once and when I disassembled, it, I had to pop them apart with a screw driver. They were stuck good!

As I recall, the MF35 had a removable inspection plate below clutch assembly,135 probly has one also. With pedal tied down, use a heavy rod and hammer to jolt the pressure plate. If the breaks are good, pulling a load around an open field with pedal pressed while repeatly slaming on break will often break it loose.

Had this happen on my 1130, it sat for about 4 years before I purchased it, tried everything I could to get the clutch to free up to no avail, ended up costing me about $1,100 at the time
to have it split and a new clutch installed, but that was almost 20 years ago.

Our 135 did that. If it has been working up until now, and just happened, you have a broken finger in the clutch. Time to split the tractor,
and install a new one.

well, you would hope for a stuck disc, but the way you are describing problem, I too, gotta go with pressure plate finger broken or burnt off with froze up release bearing.

Since the pedal went down, sounds like either the pressure plate broke, or the disc separated and folded over. Either way the clutch will have
to be removed and evaluated.
