Is this a common occurrence in Scotland? I knew a lot of Scots wanted independence, but Border Collies are making a break for it too?
Delays were caused today on one of Scotland's main motorways "due to a dog taking control of a tractor". (It was a JD Gator, though)
Traffic Scotland said it was "not joking", after reporting delays near Junction 13 of the M74 due to the unusual incident.
The tractor ran on to the motorway after the dog, reportedly named Don, leaned on the controls as the tractor drove through a nearby field.
The vehicle broke through a fence and veered on to the main road at around 8:15 this morning.
Police and a farmer were called to manage the scene, after the tractor had ended up in the central reservation.
