Here's one way to fix that.
I thought it was kinda funny.

Originally that camper would have had about 33% of the weight in the front.
Remove the engine; trans; front axle; and I can see him getting the weight down considerably.

Heavy tongue weight is not a problem as long as the hitch will hold it and you have a proper tow vehicle.
From the size of that hitch I will assume he has both of those covered.

Having a light tongue weight is when the problems start.

You laugh, but a neighbor spent a lot of years building one from scratch. Had a Buick engine in it. That one wasn't in the road but for a few years and he took the engine and front end out and put a fifth wheel hitch on it.

Thats kind of what I figured... I bet there is 1500-2000 lbs on the front. Put that behind a 1 ton, and it probably wouldn't even know it was back there!!

It really would have been something if he had put a gooseneck/fifth wheel hitch on it LOL,....people would do a double take if someone was sitting in the drivers seat when he's pulling it down the road!

I think it's not legal to ride in a trailer here.
But you could put a mannequin in the seat.
Even turn the wipers on when it's raining.

I have the opposite. A 1985 motorhome with 12000 miles on a "Mr. Goodwrench"factory rebuit 454 Chevy engine, and the ice broke the roof open and it got moldy inside.
I am working on a deal to get this type of fire engine cab and make a flatbed out of it

Creative comes to mind more so than funny. I'd say the old boy's head serves better purpose than holding his ears apart.

This made me remember seeing a 60's Cadillac that a guy customized for his honeymoon. He chopped the top off of it and put a big camper on it. The kind of camper that has the overhang over the cab of the truck. this over hang went over the hood. He said he didn't need to use the windshield wipers. It was sight to behold for sure. His bride crawled right up in it and away they went. I guess they drove it all around the country. I saw this 30 plus years ago in Ohio. He left the fins of the caddy and blended the camper into it. Sure wish I had gotten a picture of it. He was the type of person they were thinking of when they said there's "a fine line between a genius and an idiot." The wife thought he was the smartest guy and was very proud to show off the now not running honeymoon shackmobile. Her brother was not as impressed of him or the caddy . MTP...
