That's funny...the headlights and front hitch look like eyes and a duckbill. I tell ya, if it fills a need at a fair price and makes your life easier what does it matter what it looks like. I would ten times rather have a strong runny ugly duckling at a good price than all the overpriced trailer queens in the world.

Some good responses here lol. Have a neighbor that had one of those, I think he called it Herman. He had put a Year-A-Round cab on it from a JD.

I should have taken a picture of it on the trailer, I had about 15 different colored bungee straps holding the hood down, didn't want it blowing off on the highway. Almost every one of these tractors has the cheesy hood clamps broken off. I'm in the process of getting all of the filters and fluids for this thing, want to change everything so I know exactly where I am at. Of course, none of the lights are actually wired, going to re-wire them, would be nice to have light. It is paid for, and I do not have any computors or new fangled gizmos on it to worry about leaving me in the field.

Anyone notice the lack of personality of the newer tractors? This pic demonstrates the personality of the different brands of tractors of yesteryear. You cold spot a Oliver, Case, Farmall, AC, JD a mile away and know what brand it was. Today's tractor designs are like today's autos. Dull, boring, and all alike.

I agree. These new tractors with the plastic fenders are just plain boring...

s that a "V" block engine?

The fact that it is a German made Air Cooled engine is the biggest reason I purchased it. They Run great, and they use very little fuel.
This one is rated at 3 gallons per hour, my 4506 I could cut almost 50 acres of hay with it before needing fuel, If I use my massey I had better be getting to the fuel tank around 30 acres.
One thing is for sure, I will never have a computerized tractor on my farm, I believe in the KISS method. That and I am too cheap to buy anything newer than the 80's or before.

That"s cuz all of the design engineers come from the School of Curvy Design. Rampant throughout industry. I think the advent of plastic molding effected this, as compared to shaping steel.

Cookie cutter sedans and short pukey can't see out the rear station wagons, er ah Crossovers too and now the trucks are all chasing Ford. But Chevy is not pumping the steel sheet metal vs Ford's alum. Waiting for the jury on that one. Got to look at the badge on the grille to see who it belongs to. Disgusting.
