for easier hookup. anyone got a plan or even a place to buy a kit to install. it's just a gravity flow trailer. i get tired of jumping in and out, to get it lined up perfect!

This might be something you could buy, or copy if you're handy fabbing things up. Never used one, seen them demonstrated, it telescopes in and out and the end swings side to side. Once it's coupled, start pulling and it all locks straight.

Some of the guys in cotton country have receiver/drawbar hitches on their trucks that telescope and swing side to side for easy hookup. I suppose it was for easy hookup to cotton wagons. That might be an option for you. The ones I've seen can also be locked to either side for pulling offset implements. Could be handy..

I use multiple units to pull wagon. tractor for in the field and pu when i go to seed dealer, so making something on the tow vehicle is not practical. camera doesn't get you stopped in exact spot. it's so easy to back up close, pull a locking collar and slide out the tongue, hook it up. get in tow unit and back up till it locks. then drive away!

Nothing like having a SWMBO to help, something mine's never done.
Having help sure makes it easy!

Is there a market for used adjustable tongues? I had one on a running gear I am rebuilding and didn't want the heavy tongue so I cut it off with my angle grinder this past weekend and put it out by the street for the scrappers. It was gone in less than a half hour. I've got another one on a gear I'm going to rebuild this summer. Planning to do the same thing with that heavy tongue. Both tongues are round tubes - Gehl gears - and the adjustable tongues are replaced with a plain round tube. Much lighter.
