New toy, an Alamo 8ft. flail mower.
A Farmall A with mis-matched rear tires and new paint went for $1000, and a Farmall H with new paint and decent tires for $1750, my new toy was under $900, now I need to get my 450 to switch over to diesel, tried the other day, runs great on gas, but won't fire on fuel, hopefully some loose linkage.

That should leave a good path! Back in the late 60s/early 70s, Sears sold a flail mower attachment for their Suburban tractors. I talked to several customers who said they did a great job, but they didn't exactly sell like hotcakes because they were a little pricey.

A friend had a td 9dozer that would not ,go over to diesel ,A old time told him to give it a little Ether & it would Change over ! =It did the trick.

Did you check to see that it still has all of the knives? Hope that you don't have any rocks where you want to use that.

If he does it will be a whole lot safer than a brush hog type mower !!!!! Flails do a lot better job of cutting too.
