I was out plowing hit a rock and it tripped the moldboard, the pin is missing to hold it back in place, what is that pin called so I can try and find one? thanks

Not familiar with a 555 plow. Is this a 'shear bolt'? If so ,a regular grade 5 bolt is what is what is normally used.Get em anywhere that sells bolts. If this is a 'spring loaded' catch, then visit your JD dealer.

Are you sure it's gone and not just stuck up there? Ours used to get stuck up in there sometimes.

It's been near 40 years since I used that plow, but if I remember correct there is a cast tab that sticks out the rear that you can tap up on. Lube is a double edge sword there, lack of it causes that sticking, application of it causes easy tripping.

hey jon f thanks for the help, this plow has been sitting in a fence line for years I did grease everything on it got it for free so I cant complain.

This said to be a 555H . I never worked one.
