Case D is it worth it

Is this tractor worth $400 It was restored 12 years ago and has been sitting outside for the last 5 and now the engine is stuck.

No not a trick question. I saw the ad and the guy is going to scrap it if it doesn't sell. He told me he would take $400 or else take the tires off and scrap it.
 
I'm no expert but if you like that kind of challenge it's gotta be worth that. It looks complete. You should be getting better opinions along soon.
 
If it like other older Cases I have worked on, it will be the valves that are stuck. Take the tappet cover off and see if you can work the valves loose. It is usually an easy job to free them.
 
I don't need it , but where is this tractor at? Definitely worth 400 . Wait ,what's need got to do with it? Sometimes I buy a tractor just to save it.
 
Well I bought it. Now I have to go get it. Anyone know if it would be safe to load on a car hauler with 2x 3500 lbs axels(brand new trailer)
