Sounds like a fuel flow problem. Take the plug out of the bottom of the carb and make sure you get a good stream of gas for half a minute or so.

This is gasoline isn't it? If so, sounds like lack of fuel.

Either it's not getting fuel to the carb.

The float/needle is stuck and not letting fuel into the bowl.

Or the bowl is contaminated with water or gummed up gas blocking the main jet.

We had rust cut loose in the tank on our WD. It would run for maybe 5 minutes, then die, would not restart. Wait a while, it would start! The rust was loose and would get sucked onto the intake filter inside the tank cutting off the fuel!

hi, thanks for info i did what you said , some gas came out than nothing, i had petcock open and gas in tank, what do you think is wrong?

Remove the petcock from the bottom of the tank and drain, then remove any loose particles in there!

if you take fuel line off of carb fuel flows freely?
Sounds like some debris in the carb. Maybe shoot a blast of compressed air thru the bottom drain with the fuel line disconnected...maybe it will blow it out backwards. Otherwise carb will probably have to come apart to find the obstruction.

Maybe check level of gas in tank. Might be just enough to trickle in while it sets. And as the others said about fuel flow.
Had a brother one time called me about his girlfriends car not running nobody checked for gas in the tank.

hi, tried blowing air with my compressor than hooked back up and still a no go, gas runs out of the fuel line when i take it off carb, but won't come out of the plug in bottom of carb, any thing else i should try? thanks for your help Eldon and other guys

Some carburetors have a small screen in the inlet to the carb. After you disconnect the fuel line from the carb is there another fitting before the carb body? If there is, there could be a screen in it.
