A Nice Freebie

I was out leveling off the rock on our driveway that had washed down recently from a rain. The neighbor stopped by and told me I could have the small 10 HP/4500 watt generator I had asked him about a year ago because he was never going to use it he said.
I removed the snow from his driveway the last two years and he never paid me so he said come up at 1:00 and we'll load it up. I brought it home put a little gas in it and it started on the first pull. He said his FIL use to have it.

Sounds like a good deal for you both. I think the older generators are more rugged than the newer ones. The new ones usually have a circuit board somewhere that will/can blow.

I'd take that as a thankyou in a heartbeat. Got one of those, handy as a pair pf gloves when you need power! You owe him a lot of plowing!

Not quite that much plowing. A GOOD new one of that size is about $400.oo. Roughly $100 .oo per 1000 watts. It would be very nice if we all had neighbors that would give a little bit back now and then. I have to play nice with the two neighbors and NEITHER ONE thinks they need to give a little. Kind of sucks but now and then I need some help with something.
