Back in the early 1980's I watched a man build a knife out of an old file. He ground it on a giant 12" grinder we had in the garage. It took him weeks to do it on his lunch hour.

Many, many moons ago I made a knife out of a file in high school shop class. Didn't look as nice as this one, though. Lol! However the shop teacher gave me a pretty good mark on it. Can you imagine making a knife in shop class in school these days????? Yeah, right!

It wouldn't be good for sure. I made a couple well tried to didn't ever get one to turn out very good .

He really does I've been trying to get him to sell one of hid knives forever the other day he stopped buy with this .

I imagine it would take along time to build one never really thought of using a file tho . Makes sense it would be a good piece of steel
