Water in oil;sleeved engine

I bought a 2900 AC engine on a pump that gets water in the oil "at times" as the sellers says. He had sleeved it and thinks he cut an O-ring. is
there any cure in a can that might help this? It doesn't do it while running, only when setting and about a pint in a month or two. Don't believe in
cures in a can but K and W has saved my a$$ several times, found it in engines I used for years.

Most worn or damaged cyl O rings, as well as bad head gaskets leak most when the engine is running, and the cooling syst is under pressure.

Grew up in the plumbing and heating business. I have used a little boiler sealer for hot water boilers very strong. The more you run it at telperature the better it will fill any leaks. Will not hurt engine, seals, o-rings. Better then the stop leak, radiator, products.
Use the liquid type shake well and add to a warm engine then run.

Hello carl reitnauer,

There is no easy fix if the liner seal is damaged. Stop leaks products are not the answer in you case. You can check the liners for leaks by pressurizing the cooling system. But you have to drop the oil pan. Test pressure, if you go that route, should be only 10% above pressure cap rating. With the oil pan off, If a liner seal is leaking it will show up readily,

Guido.
