Picture from 2014 Pioneer Days in Albany MN. I think it is a Boat motor due to the plumbed exhaust. Interesting carbs!! Jim

I think you are correct. looks to be water cooled right from the lake. has priming cups , be nice to see other side if there is a mag set up somehow.

Yup. even before I read your caption Jim, I was thinking nautical. If you searched through enough old magazines you might find something on it. Good luck. Are there old boat web sites? (I'm sure I know the answer to that) You might post it on the marine engine forum on the Stak.

Cooper Bessemer twin tandem double acting compressor engine. Might be a Worthington, but I don't think so. We used to have ten Worthingtons very similar to these where I used to work.

I almost want to say that looks like a Kahlenberg, from here in Two Rivers, Wi. Made engines for all sorts of industry, mainly marine.

Wow..that looks really old!! It would be interesting to know what make it is.

Here's one I saw in Mystic Seaport Museum a couple of years ago.
Kinda old too.....but pretty easy to identify. Ford V-8 "60"

I am almost certain this is a "Barber Brothers marine water cooled engine. There should be a mag on it if so a number is there that you can cross reference.
The water pipes was to circulate water around the inside jacket and then back out. Some of them had a water jacket on the manifold also. Later ones used a distributor.

Hope this helps there is a site under the Barber Brothers name for a club.
