Dodge PU tailgate ?????

I broke the cable strap that holds the tailgate from lowering down to far. The ones that are on each side of the tailgate. Well I should say Menards broke it BUT what is it called. I thought I would look on Ebay for one but I don't know what its official name is.???? Thanks Gerald

Just poke in Dodge tailgate cables...You'll have to scroll through to find you year and model

Just a tailgate support, or tailgate cable.

Probably under 20 bucks at a car parts store. And probably found in the aisle, since they're fairly universal.

You don't cite a year so I guessed. LMC page 25 part #10, tailgate support. A whopping 12.44$

Those god blessed things rust and break on my Dodge every year. Every auto parts store around here has them on display racks. There are two broken ones on my 98 Ram now. Just rusted and broke.

Just use small link chain, like you would tie a dod to, prolly never go bad again, my ex father in law did that on a 90s s10

A friend of mine just bought a new Dodge pickup; he said he got the "heated tail gate" option. Told him I never heard of that.

He said that when he got stuck and he had a bunch of friends get in back and push they wouldn't get their hands cold with a heated tail gate.
