Do You Think This Will Sell ?

There was a guy on the local Craigslist that had one. It was gas powered with a model N Briggs, had rubber tires. Also had a thing to loop, measure and cut the wire. The whole package was listed for $4500.00. Sounds like a lot either way. Todd

Hi The way I look at that is as just a working model I wouldn't pay that. I think the clue is in the add, What likes the bales! " ladies and kids" will pay for those bales. something tells me it's more than a buck a bale to. You know how that works with some people.
If you got the time and the market for bales at a show or craft sale I bet it wouldn't take long to earn the money back, and create an interesting display making them.

There is a Mennanite at the rough and toumble show with a 1/3 scale little bailer.
that is based on the old wire tie units. I have one of the bales and he let me work across from the guy on the other side. twisting wire bails even at 1/3 size is not easy guys!

I have built 2 of these and I would not build one for the asking price of the one in the ad. we all know how stuff is a lot more work than what it appears. We sell our bales for $3.00 each or a decorated one for $5.00. typically we can not keep any made ahead. just my thoughts
