movin dirt.....

got swmbo out yesterday on the skidder to move some dirt. needed to patch up some wash outs in the fields. loaded the dump trailer behind the w-9. windy as heck, eyeballs got full of dirt!!

As someone who works the farm alone 99% of the time, I will tell you that you are one lucky man. Dirty or not, it was a team effort!
 
How about "You let her use POWER tools"? He he very nice. I love that big red beast. I bet it has a wonderful rumble in you tummy standing next to her.
 
You are a lot drier than mid-Michigan is. My heavy clay is holding the water bad. I always treat the wife nice when she is willing to help :)

My upper fields are drying out a bit but the one lower one has a lot of runoff going thru the center of it. Last year was a mess that way. Here about half an hour east of Lansing the big dairy around the corner from my place is hauling a lot of liquid manure down the road to their many fields. Not one of Springtime's better aromas! Wouldn't mind if they wanted to lay some down on my place, though.
 
when pushing forward, the bucket is down digging and not a lot of weight on the front tires, the backs do most of the traction. with a full bucket backing up, the weight is on the front tires. seems to help a lot with traction both ways.
