Wear pads for JD 24T

Does anyone know of a place for new wear pads for the plunger on a 24T baler? I priced them at the JD dealer and they wanted $50 a piece for them!!
 
Best bet is to buy a Mahindra. Worlds best you know. I'll bet their parts are a whole lot cheaper than Deere. Good parts cost big bucks.
 
Well the originals lasted about 50 years. So they would be a dollar each for each year of use.

Find some HARD maple and cut them out yourself.
