John Deere 2555

I was looking at a 2555 John Deere tractor with it sitting there idling, I pulled the throttle back with more RPM's there is a light blue puff of smoke comes out of the exhaust and goes away in a few seconds. Is this normal or is it starting to burn oil?

I used a 2555 last summer to run my 852 NH baler, it didn't smoke, might be starting to use some oil, depending on the hours, or might be the valve seals.

I wouldn't get excited about that if it is idling and you pull the throttle back I would expect that with a cold or not worked hard engine. Another words it didn't just get done plowing or other harder work like that.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't check the blow by pipe to see if there's any blow by; but the tractor only has 2,000 hours so I won't worry about the puff of smoke. Thanks again.
