I sad to hear about his passing I met him once last fall when I went and got the 77 he gave I hope to finish rebuilding it in a couple months the rebuild will be dedicated to him

The information I have says Larry died while snorkeling off of Key West, no more details. He will be missed. Chris

Thank's for posting this. I saw a post down below about him,but I thought it was just somebody asking where he'd been,so I didn't read it until now. Dang it,I hate it when nice guy regulars on here pass on. My sympathies to everybody involved.

Found this on Google. Is this our guy?

MARATHON, Fla. (AP) – Three people died in separate incidents while snorkeling in the Florida Keys.

Monroe County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Becky Herrin says two men and a woman were vacationing with their families in the Keys when they died on Monday.

She says 71-year-old Richard Gueringer of San Antonio, Texas, was pulled unconscious from the water while on a snorkeling trip on the Key West Fury. He was pronounced dead at the Lower Keys Medical Center.

Also Monday, 72-year-old Larry Coltrin of Schaumburg, Illinois, died while snorkeling in the Dry Tortugas. An autopsy is planned.

Herrin says 64-year-old Julia Thien of Wood River, Illinois, was snorkeling with family members when she began having trouble. She was brought on board Keys Diver II but couldn’t be revived.

I didn't associate his screen name with his real name. Last year I bought 2 Oliver 70 grilles and the name strip from him. Good guy , all went well...It's too bad .....

Wow. I met him around thanksgiving of 13 and helped him load an Oliver combine on his trailer. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Yes, Larry had spent quite a bit of time in Florida this winter. His girl friend, or fiance lived there. (I think they were engaged, not sure).

Sorry news indeed. I'm miss the old banter with Larry. When I first joined the site he was a staple. You just never know do ya?

I Will miss his posts for sure. Always enjoyed hearing about his two Oliver 770's along with the haying adventures.

My condolences to the family.

Been around a couple of these boards long enough, starting to lose some good long distance friends that a person feels they know forever.... Without ever meeting them.

A little odd.

Sorry to hear that and condolences to his family.

Paul
