Bought an old tractor, as far as I know it was one of the first case-o-matics'...
What is this worth, how rare is a propane motor on an 813, and would the price go up if I restored it?

I don't think they are all that rare. Did you buy it to flip and make money or use?? Depends on what you do as a restoration. Probably won't get paid for your time and money.

I'm trying to figure out the estimated value... do you have any clue? $1100? $5000? $15000? Being #6 of 30 I just was hunting for a ballpark

can you attach pictures as it is? We could get you a better price then.

If it runs and starts good, has good tires around here, Northern Indiana, it would bring about 2500ish. 3000 tops. 1500 bottom. Not running = scrap price or part it out (heads are worth a bit of $ alone). Just not much demand. Paint wouldn't add much to the price.

IF you could find a Case collector maybe.. maybe you could get more.

From your pics, that would be a $800 to $1000 tractor here...E SD. Missing fenders, original seat, hood cobbled up, knocks the price down, IMHO. Spend $2000 on the tractor for paint and parts and it is a $3000 tractor.

looks like a good one if you wanted one to use and didn't care much about looks.

around here probably $2500 since its rebuilt. Maybe $3000 with the loader depending on if you find a buyer that wants a loader or not.

I doubt if you'd be able to recover the costs of refurbishing it as it looks like it needs quite a bit. Fenders are high even for aftermarket. then add hood (interesting PS pump fluid door), seat, new front tires, paint ect...

Use it as it is and enjoy.

The tires are worth what the tractor is I'm afraid. I wouldn't think it'd go more than $1500. or so even with the loader. Propane isn't popular and too many people are scared to death of a Caseomatic thinking it's like the Ford Selecto-speed nightmares.
