I think that I can speak for most of our YT friends in saying that we are in a bit of shock about Char's sudden death, and are hard pressed to come up with the propper words to console you. You have our deepest sympathy, and hope that we all can help you in our small ways, to help you through this crisis, and hope that you can continue to bless us with your knoledge in the future.

After reading your original post its made me do allot of thinking about what I would do in your shoes. My wife is a few years older than Char.

My prayers are with you during these trying times.

September 30, 1950 - March 16, 2015
Charlotte M. “Char” Helmlinger, 64, of Wapakoneta, died 8:22 a.m., Mon. March 16, 2015, at Lima Memorial Health System, following a sudden illness. She was born Sept. 30, 1950, in Toledo, OH, the daughter of Raymond & Evelyn (Fleck) Karbowiak, Sr., who preceded her in death. On Jan. 7, 1978, she married Lester L. Helmlinger, and he survives. Other survivors include, 2 sons, Charles (Holly) Lindsey, Indianapolis, IN, & Craig Lindsey, KY; 7 grandchildren, 5 siblings, Ray (Deborah) Karbowiak, Jr., Lima, Ann (Dean) Brotherwood, St. Marys, Mark Karbowiak, Wapakoneta, Chuck Karbowiak, Cridersville, & Carol Jean Gilbert, Celina; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandchild. Char worked at Lowe's Home Improvement, and also at McDonald's, both of Wapakoneta. She had previously at Quality Farm & Fleet, Central Tractor, ALCO, and Val's. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg, and a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She was also a member of the Buckeye Farm Antiques, Logan Co. Antique Club, the Shelby Co. Antique Club, and the Van Wert Co. Farm Antiques. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Fri. March 20, 2015, at the St. John Catholic church, Fryburg, Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., Thurs. at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
