Objects in Mirror

I'm tired of these stupid mirrors. Back in 1987 I was driving a new S10 Blazer down the road and the passenger side mirror just fell out on the side of the road. Best thing that ever happened to the vehicle. Took it to a glass dealer he cut a mirror piece to size and glued it in. Worked great. Now I have a 2002 Chevy pickup and need the passenger side mirror to fall out so I can get rid of that Objects in mirror are smaller than they appear mirror before I take it off on the garage door.
Is there any place I can buy a flat mirror for that side?

If you want a regular mirror you will have to have one made up or find some after market company that makes a plain mirror. If you go to dealer you will get a mirror like the one on there now.

I'm not a fan either. I can't judge distance which makes it harder backing trailers in tight spots. I also believe they contribute to people nearly taking your front bumper off while changing lanes.

I know what you mean. Every time I read the warning printed at the bottom of the mirror I keep expecting to see a dinosaur chasing me.

I needed a passenger side mirror on my PU. used a round ladies hand mirror and duct tape. Mostly as a joke.. (got that from Red Green)

I have factory flat mirrors on a '94 Chevy pickup. The mirrors are about 6 x 8 inches. They are nice for baking up. I added a small convex mirror in a corner of each mirror for a wider field of view in traffic.

Awww you beat me to it!! In the movie that was really funny. Everybody in the theater laughed at that one! Still like the idiot in the out house.

My newest personal vehicle is a 2002 and thankfully the mirrors are at least one piece. My newest company van is a 2014 and the mirrors are split into two pieces that I can't stand. The upper half is the "Vehicles Are Closer Than They Appear", or "...further than appear", which ever that I finally got used to, and the bottom half is that goofy convexed whatever that is. When I look into the mirrors now, I've got two wrong views and can't figure out whose where. On the passenger side I've gotten into more near crashes because of them, and on the drivers side I gave up and just give a quick look back out the window. I went to the dealer to see if I could purchase one-piece replacements like I had on my old 2002 van, same style except one piece, and they said "No". If I had known about this, I would have switched the mirrors between the '02 and '14 before turning the '02 in for scrap.

Since all of the American manufacturers have the split mirrors now, no option, I figure it must have been another government mandated "latest, greatest" idea kind of like the stop light at the top of the cabs on cars and pickups, or headlights that never shut off so long as the vehicle is in gear. Yep, government folks in washington that took their once part time jobs and some where along the line turned them into full time screw ups at our expense.

My mirror was knocked out on my 91 Dodge pickup. Auto parts store had a thin plastic one that I cut to fit then peeled the back off and stuck it on. A little wavy but works and was cheap

I have a set of mirrors that clap on my stock truck mirrors when I am pulling a trailer and take them off when not pulling trailer. I think that stupid mirror on right side is mandated by law.

My Japanese mini truck has BOTH side mirrors that are that stupid stuff. Between that and needing to look to the left to see the rear view mirror (drive on the right side) I was car sick for the first couple of days. No wonder every Japanese tourist visiting here drives 13 miles an hour on the interstate. They are trying to figure out the mirrors and not vomit.

Went to get in my 90 Ford F150 yesterday and the windshield mirror was laying on the floorboard.
