OT/My Chevy Pickup Is Getting More Obsolete....

I was putting new u-bolts on the rear axle of my 1990 K2500 pickup today, but the U-bolt Plate (GM part no. 15592587) on the left side was so badly rusted that it wouldn't hold up to the torque on the u-bolts, and started crumpling up. An internet search found many places that had it listed, but no longer available! I'm sure someone on here has encountered this issue... What is the best way to fix this? Thanks for any help!

A couple years ago I installed over load springs on a GMC pickup, I went to Louisville, Ky. where they make springs etc, and bought new ones there.
I don't remember the name of the business, but me thinks that any spring place could make them fur you. They make U-bolts and any thing yo might need for that job.
You could google places.

Or a spring shop most cities over 50,000 people have one, often the same place that does drive shafts.

Thanks for your advice. I found ATS Spring out of PA that has a bracket that should work. I would have gone with a used one but figured it would probably be similar to what came off mine...

As already replied, you might try the salvage yard. Or, go to your local dealer, have him look it up on his computer and then he will say that it is no longer available. When he says that, ask him to look on the nationwide search to see if any national dealers would have one in inventory. If they do, call them up and have them ship it to you.
