Moment of silence

Condolences to the families

My last supervisor in the Air Force was a Helicopter pilot. He explained the basics of Helicopters to me...They're not designed to fly but to crash.

Moment of silence broken with spoken prayer. We can relate here in the northwest corner of Louisiana, John. You might recall the shoot-down of a Chinook in Afghanistan in 2011 that killed 38 U.S. troops, including 22 members of Seal Team 6. Two of those guys, Kelsall and Reeves, grew up here in Shreveport, were best buds all through high school and Seal training and to the moment they went down over there. It's tough to lose the best of the best.

I flew Hueys in the army{little over 2000 hrs] and never crashed unless I got shot down. [2 times] Hoss, Youre welcome for my service

I was teaching tech school in Biloxi when the call cam out for chopper pilots. Thought it would be a great idea to get some bars (Warrant officer) on my collar until I found out why they needed pilots. 9 years in the AF was enough especially with my next duty assignment had I reenlisted.

Sorry for the family and friends loss but the military is a dangerous place unless you are very lucky and get a few breaks here and there.
