A friend of mine is trying to get the hub for the dual-wheel off the axle of his Case IH 7230. It will not budge. He is trying to get it off so he can change the outer axle seal. I suggested putting the dual back on and running it with the bolts out of the hub to try and break it loose. Or he might take the dual off and then unbolt the axle bell housing from the tractor and go in from that side. Don"t know if that is feasible or not. Need help please.

Not an IH or Case guy, but we sorta had the same problem with our JD 4850. We jacked it up and wiggled the tire back and forth, with all the bolts loosened, with out skid steer. Broke it loose. Just make sure its on sturdy cribbing and chalk the other sides tire with it in netrual. Just easier on the transmission.
