I ran across this guy who sings and plays guitar from Australia. He is Slim Dusty. Lot of songs about trucking, and, just plain life events. Look him up I think you will enjoy him. I do. Stan

He's kind of a folk singer, but he sings about real life in his time - and doesn't have a cause to promote. I really like his "stories" told in songs.

Really good, I liked him. Kind of puts me in the mind of Stompin' Tom Connors, another guy that's not too well known.

He was a good man. Very natural fella who used to do the trips out in the small places for many years. Not just focusing on the major centres. He went out in the bush, and people loved him for it.
He lives on through his music.
Google Ann Kirkpatrick - that's his daughter who also sings very nicely. They did a couple of really nice duets in later days.
