...this kind of stuff down here in balmy north Louisiana. This is actually nothing but sleet which accumulated within about two hours. Tonight we're expecting up to four inches of snow on top of this. You can imagine what it's like out on our roads: cars banging into each other like bowling pin---or going into the gutter.

Most of the sleet has melted over here in NE Texas.

Went in to town to get cat food, dog food, and some snack food for myself.

Will probably wake up to snow on the ground tomorrow morning.

Plan on staying inside and warm again tomorrow.

Yea my son in law got stuck in Rayville last night because of the bad weather.

You know that you will be praying for weather like this (minus the ice) in a few more months.

Here is a picture I took yesterday just west of New Orleans. All the grass is turning green.

Our farm is about 9.5 miles southwest of Omaha.

Their address shows to be "downtown" Omaha on Hwy 67.

Probably really close to the Post Office near the city park.

The flowering 'tree' is a camellia, Sweetfeet. I have several varieties on my place, including the one here in front of my house. They start blooming in November and continue on through March. They don't get much bigger than this, but they live a long time. Mine are probably 40 to 50 years old. I know of one at my aunt's old home place that's at least 75 years old, and only about nine feet tall.
