Sounds like it is a tablet. Has some of the fun stuff people want as a mobile device, but not quite a computer yet, but close.

Miniature version of a laptop with a slow processor and little memory or storage.
They make good book readers and decent web surfers. They work
well for apps like Skype with a fast internet connection.
In my opinion not much good for much else, but others will disagree.
Not that there's anything wrong with them, they are just limited
use machines. Not intended to be a desktop replacement.
They were $40 on Black Friday. Limit one.

What Royse said.

Mine's a low end unit, pretty much just use it for
web browsing while I'm in my recliner.

I use the desktop for what I'll call real
work...bill paying, farm accounting, etc.

Kinda halfway between a tablet and a notebook/laptop. Whether or not you want one depends on what you need. If your needs are mostly met by a tablet but you still need a keyboard, then it's not a bad choice. But it's not going to replace a laptop PC. You're not going to run any Windows apps on it. And it's a lot bigger than a tablet, so you lose the tablet's portability. They have limited storage, with the expectation you'll store your files on the cloud.
