This past year my dad wanted power steering on his old farmall M. So we bought the parts and put them on his tractor.Saturday I was tuneing up an old ford f-150 4x4 pick up. I stood back and looked at the power steering on this truck and replace one hose. Then it hit me the power steering was close to the system that we bought to install on my dads tractor. I stood there thinking what if I could had go to a salavage yard and bought every thing I needed off an old Ford truck. I could has saved alot of money.

I was about in 5th grade when my dad took our old M over to my uncles shop and they installed power steering. I think it was an M&W kit.

Still have the tractor, and it still is working with the original unit. That was about 1965 they put it on.

Oh, and stupid????? Sometime I think that is my middle name!!

not since i dropped my 1/4 drive rachet it is somewhere under the seat and hdros on my mustange 330 skid loader

I can remember back in the early sixties my uncle bought a mid fifties junk Ford station wagon from a kid in the neighborhood for the steering to put on his Ford 860.

If I don't feel stupid at least once a day I will not go to bed at night until I do. Needless to say I usually get to bed when its still light out. As far as parts interchanging while using My 830 Case one day I broke a tie rod end on the right side. After the blue cloud drifted away I spied My 84 F 150 on the side of yard with a blown motor and with a side grinder to cut a notch for the bolt it screwed right in. I was back on the job in no time and it is still there after seven years.
