We bought the front 1/4 of a beef cow. Pricey but it should be good. Size wise, how does the front 1/4 compare to the rear 1/4? thanks Bill
 
Front 1/4 of a cow verses the rear 1/4 would be comparing a Lada to a Rolls Royce.
Front 1/4 is hamburger only

Don't think you can refer to rib eye steaks as hamburger only.
hh,..i forgot about the rib eye. :shock:
The only piece of meat from the front worth keeping out of the grinder,..the rest....chop her up. :D
 
Absolutely not. Never heard of wasting a prime cut like that on burger. Course if they sold Rib Eye Steaks in the super market there would be plenty of cuttings since the Eye is the heart of the Rib Steak; lean and tender with just the right amount of marbleing when fed out.
