I have a 1066 with a loader after using it a few hours it will barely lift an empty bucket. I unplugged the loader and hooked to my speed mover and it keeps settling down. When I go to lift the loader it dropped about 8 inches before raising. If I try raising the loader and moving the bucket at the same time it stops raising. I tried putting 5gal extra fluid didn't help. Thanks for any ideas.

Did this happen over time,or all at once.Over time,I'd say the hitch pump is worn out.If all at once,Something in the valve stack or some other internal (valveing) part has failed.

Sound like the pump is worn. Also check the screen on the filter. If the cylinders are not leaking by the pistons, then the valves need rebuilt. They are under the seat. They unbolt from the side with 3 bolts and the pins for the spools.

Pull the center link cover and look inside. Theses tractors are built with internal leakage but if you look when the tractor is running there should be a good flow of oil coming from the upper right side. If there is so much oil that you can't see to the front then you have a major leak on the valve attached to the rock shaft cylinder. Most times the bolts break but I've seen the sealing rings go bad. I've also seen where there is also no oil, then it's more then likely the pump. Hope this will help.

I just bought the tractor about 2 weeks ago. It was cold out when I first looked at it loader worked fine. The guy said he just rebuilt the cylinders. Last week it was about 75 out so I was running about 6 hours barely picked up the bucket at full throttle and the 3 point seemed soft. Thanks for the help this is my 1st red one always had green.
