New Holland Tractor Question

I own a 2008 New Holland T2420. It has a 60 HP Shibaura Perkins diesel engine which uses very little fuel. The engine is very quiet compared to the same size John Deere. Cab, Heat & Air....very enjoyable tractor to operate.

i have a t4020 cab tractor 64 hp.the only thing i dont like is the shifting it has linkages from the shifter.it has two four speed shifters either one is operator friendly.it does have a forward and reverse shifter that works okay.i would get rid of it but the wifey done staked a claim on it (raking hay)

I think that's hard to nail down because there are so many possibilities. You've probably seen Fords rebranded as NH. I've got a TT60A, which is several years old, and it's a Fiat design from way back. Now they're something different!

I have a 2002 TC-45. It's been a good, dependable tractor so far. I haven't had any maintenance problems with it. My only minor complaint is that it is geared kind of low. I drive it between farms in the summer and it makes a short drive seem long.

I have a Farmall 65 which is the NH only with red paint. I love it. Only thing it is hard to row crop with them as the steering keeps creeping one direction. Really bad. I took it back when new and they changed the steering box twice with no improvement. Finally they called in a factory rep to look at it and he agreed it creeps bad but it is within the factory specs. No big deal if you are not row cropping with it. And now that I am used to it, it is just second nature to keep turning the wheel round and round as you drive from one end of the field to the other. I pull a 6 row planter and cultivator with mine. When I put the duels on it and the rock box, it almost looks like a real tractor.

I have a 2007 TN85A with the electronic 16 speed f/r tranny and 4wd and a loader.
It is a decent tractor.
It has 4000 hours on it and the only problem I have is with the electronic clutch pedal not agreeing with the reverser and sometimes I have to use the clutch instead of just the reverser lever.
I have had to replace the joystick for the loader as well.
It has good power, I use it to pull 4 14's and a 12' disc and the 24T baler and bale wagon.
Not really the greatest on fuel but not the worst. Really goes down the road.

I wouldn't hesitate to own another one.

I have the same tractor in blue (because I couldn't find a 2 wheel drive in red) I have less than 50 hours on it but love it. I have driven it on the highway and don't notice the creeping. (My IH 656 does that)The 65 Workmaster is a fine little tractor. I put a Westendorf loader on mine. Two reasons I went with that model is a 4 cylinder engine and 30 inch tires. Most (or all) competitive models have 3 cylinders and 28 in tires. The only thing I would fault is it seems rather hard to shift. I think the shuttle shift would be nice but it is not offered on the 65 & 75. It is on the 55.

The Workmaster seems like a nice tractor, but it is expensive. So maybe a older TN or TT series....

I bought a new TC35 gear shift model with loader 7 years ago. Still love it. Basic same as a TC45 but smaller engine. No problems, always starts. I believe the gear drive will live longer than a hydro but each has an opinion on that.

We have a NH workmaster 75 on the place. Have about 200 some hours on it in the last two years. It has been a trouble free machine. The gearing is a little off for my liking too fast in reverse hi too slow reverse low. High gear could be a a tad higher but ok now I am just nitpicking. It's a very basic simple tractor that I can say I have been happy with. It is a little cold blooded had to add a block heater this year cause it starts hard below 20degrees. One more thing is the headlights are not worth a darn with a loader on it.... Seems to be a problem with many new utility tractors.
