This is in 1958 when the Fordson Power Major was first introduced. Several Dexta's and implements. The combine harvester at rear left is a Ransomes, and a Jones combine on the right, both made in Britain.

Interesting to see all the guys in coats and ties.
Here it would be blue jeans other work clothes.

Power Major good tractor. A friend had one back in
the day and he said it had some design issue, like
maybe not enough cooling capacity?? This is a hot
climate so that may have been the problem.

In Britain the country folk dressed in their best [Sunday] clothes to visit a major social gathering like a show. To-day they dress much more casually.

For the people who work for the dealers a tweed jacket, trousers, shirt & tie is still the normal dress code.

Manufacturers/importers of machinery area sales manager will dress in smart clothes or a suit with a shirt and company logo tie. Most also now have a fleece jacket with logo for everyday wear when calling on dealers. Many companies provide summer & winter outdoor jackets again with company logo on chest. Its to show who works for who.

When I worked for a plough manufacturer we were supplied with 2 pairs of coveralls with the company name on chest and across rear shoulders. One older [well used] pair for working on demonstrations in the farmers field or doing service work. The best new clean pair for wearing on the company site/land at ploughing matches or working events.
