The DB 50D was produced from 1953 to 1958, only some 1250 were constructed. 50HP 6 cylinder DB engine but NO 3 point hitch.

They were a very large tractor in those days and expensive to buy, the lack of 3 point limited their sales. Most were exported, very few have survived and a well restored model will sell for $70,000+ to-day

You furnish the nicest pictures.
In your part of the world do the birds migrate like they do on this side of the big water?
If so where do they go?

She's a beast. I'm gaining a real love for the European tractors. I have 2 now. What is that green and yellow one in the background of the first picture?

I knew that would get some reaction

I'll keep you in suspense for a while, see if any US collectors can identify it

Yes - Swallows & Swifts over winter in places like Africa, and several European species fly back and forward.

Our problem are 2 legged migrants that come here and wont go back where they came from

Yes That particular green and yellow tractor often
"turns" the heads of those not familiar with the
brand. Now I must away and eat some beef like a
true Yeoman of England.

Keep them dangling Roy - they've got 273 photos of Presidents, Newmans & OTA's first

You gave it away!!!

Apparently they looked well impressive with their
v 4 engines and green and yellow livery but in
reality they weren't very good. Rather gutless and
dogged with transmission and overheating problems.
Not only that they were very expensive ,
especially if you added 'options'to the spec. such
as three point linkage!I am prepared to be
corrected though.

Thanks for posting. I think that it is the first really old DB that I have seen. my first two tractors were Case badged DBs.
