john deere m oil pressure to rocker arms

hi everyone I pulled the valve cover off my m last night to adjust the valves and noticed there is little to no oil at the rocker arms I have medium oil pressure according to the gauge at idle. I pulled the oil supply line off that goes from the block to the head and it'll barley pump any oil can some one please help me .

Have you changed the oil lately? Oil diluted? Is the base full of water? Is the gauge good? Is there a gob of crap blocking the line someplace? A crimp or dent? Filter? Start there. They don't run 60psi, more like 10-15psi.

I check the oil feed tube and no oil checked the fitting on the block no / little oil just changed the oil and filter two weeks ago maybe 4 hours of run time

There is not supposed to be very much pressure there. keep in mind that in pretty much all overhead valve engines that the oil to the rocker arms passes through the camshaft to get there and the passage lines up for only about 1/8 of a revolution. thi greatly reduces both flow and pressure, compared to the rest of the system.

I understand that but bolth rocker arms were barley wet with oil and had hardly any drain back just worring me doesn't seem sufficient enough. Ive read about cam bearing problems but this engine has been rebuilt a while ago by a previous owner

The rear rocker shaft stud IS the oil passage to the rocker shaft. It is flat on one side to allow oil to pass. If someone switched the studs (don't ask me how I know) no oil will get to the rocker shaft, from the little that is pumped through the external line.

Well last night did some digging and pulled the fitting out of the block and it was clean all the way to the cam and I could actually see the cam shaft blew air threw the line to the head and air to the head all clear studs were in correct place rockers are fine so either I have worn cam bearings or it is what it is

How about posting this down on the JD forum and asking M and maybe 40 owners to estimate how much oil they get to the rocker arms at an idle. It has been sometime since I have observed one of my four cylinder Fords, but I would estimate perhaps twelve ounces per minute.
