JD 755 hydraulic oil

Since this tractor has a loader and it appears the hydrostatic transmission, power steering, 3pt hitch and loader all use the same hydraulic fluid--should the loader and 3pt lift be in any specific positions to check the hydraulic oil level?

what ever position the loader is in isn't going to matter as the oil in the cylinders is always the same amount, ( the amount of oil only changes in a one way activated cylinder ) and the position of the your three point hitch is likely suppose to be in the lift position.

You're exactly correct - it is a common misconception that two-way cylinders don't consume oil but they do. The volume of the rod that comes out of the cylinder when it extends has to be replaced inside the cylinder by something. The only exception to this is if the rod extends out from both ends; steering cylinders are the prime example.
