ot pc question

well after trying for a while,to get my pc to play on my hdtv I finally decided to hard wire hdmi from pc to tv..now that doesn't seem to work. all I get is the picture of screen saver showing on the tv screen ... how can I get the content of the internet on my tv using the hdmi, which is the recommended way.. am I doing something wrong..one end is to hdmi on tv, other end is hdmi on pc thanks

Very few pc's have actual hdmi. Most likely data to hdmi.

Try pressing Fn+F7. Then select 'Duplicate' to put your desktop on the tv. What you have is 'Extend', which is like using dual monitors. The tv is acting as a stand alone monitor with just your background.

On some newer pc's you just need to press F7, like my laptop at work.

You will see whatever is on the computer screen, and will be controlled from the computer keyboard and mouse.

I just plug mine in and whatever is on the screen shows on the TV. I do have to change the "Input" or "Source" on the TV to the corresponding HDMI input.

changing the source to coincide with both tv and pc makes no difference.i still cant get anything.. after I can get reception to the tv, then I will try to use the keyboard. for changing the web sites etc. I am using hdmi cable to both tv and pc..thanks

Is your PC connected to the internet? Either with a physical connection or with WiFi?
