Just thinking.

I got a call this morning that my Dad got fenders for his John Deere G and they need to be painted. I just need to know how to find the date off the paint cans? I have some classic Green over here with a price of $10.34 cents for a 1 qt. How old do you think this paint is? I got it at a John Deere delarship when they where closeing which meant at that time I was going to sand down my hood on my deere and repaint it. Which I never did because some body wanted to buy that John Deere which they did.

If the paint hasn't hardened in the can it should still be good. Just open the can and put a paint test on a piece of primed metal, and match it to the tractor. Stan

I had a quart of John Deere paint that sat in the outside shed for around 10 years of western ny freeze warm cycles and when I tried it, it went on fine. your results may vary. Bill

Oil based should be able withstand all most unlimited freeze thaw cycles as long as it sealed it should be as good as new.

That is the only bug a boo with laytex. Freeze it once and just pitch it in the garbage. Laquer, oil, whatever can go to Zero and come back laughing. Just let it warm up slowly and stir the crap out of it and filter.
