I have several tractors with 6-loop rims. One arrived here with
carriage bolts and still has them. One arrived with square-head
bolts and still has them. One arrived with square-head bolts but
when I replaced the rims the bolts were so banged up I needed
new ones, and the local hardware store only had hex-head bolts
so I used those. One of the self-appointed Correct Police noted
the varied bolts on my tractor rims and my response was, "Hey,
at least on each tractor they're consistent." Is there any real
reason to prefer one kind over another, or do some people need
to get a life?
