A Repair Question.

I posted this on the IH forum, but didn't get too many answers. I have a IH 340 utility with a Wagner loader on it. I changed the double spool loader control valve for one that had a float setting for the lift cylinders. The tractor has the internal hydraulic pump. The pump outlet is a 3/4" aluminum pipe, which has a large hose attached to it with a compression fitting. When I first tightened up the fitting I didn't have the right size wrench for the nut, so I had to improvise. Of course the fitting came loose when I was testing out the new valve. I purchased the right wrench and tightened the fitting again. So far it hasn't come loose, but I'm still worried about it. Would it be possible to flare an 3/4" aluminum pipe? Or should I just leave it alone and hope for the best?

Government philosophy....If it ain't broke,

Fix it till it is!
Don't mess with aluminun fittings if you know what is good for you. Some of the equipment I work on has those and very quickly you develop tourqe wrench fingers! JUST enough. He he
