Took half a day off from work today...

And managed to get this load home. 16 all together. Was a pretty hefty load, but it was balanced pretty good. Hoping to do the same tomorrow....

Only trouble is when you have a bunch of a-h-oles at the power company who cut the poles in thirds so no one can use them!

My SIL is a lineman. I can go get a load most anytime. They kinda have to speak in advance to save some back. Otherwise they have some local dude that picks them up on a routine basis.

We just pull in their back lot and he goes get the COOPs skid steer and we load them up.

That is the easy part. Making use of them on the farm is where the work begins.

Working for the phone company, I used to get as many as I wanted. But, all good things must pass. Some fool said they were polluting the environment, so the company had to start cutting them into chunks and burning them. They even had a contractor doing it, and he was guaranteed so many tons per month. So, many farmers in the area lost a great source for columns for sheds and buildings.

Just shows how many morons there are running loose. "They were polluting the environment so we had to burn them,"??? Burning treated posts would cause much more pollution than sticking them in the ground!
