How do comments get added?

I've been wondering this for a while.

In the topic "Everything's fine"

I added a reply to RRLund and it comes up where expected.

Then I added a reply to Goose's one about the VP he was dealing with (last comment at the time) and it comes up first on the list and doesn't link to the subject at which it was pointed.

TIA

If you click the add reply underneath all the replies near the middle, it puts your reply at the top, if you click the reply on the right inside the box it puts it under that reply.

I do not know where you are getting something like that. There is ONLY ONE BOX at right to click on to post. There is nothing neer the middle.

I use classic view, one below each box, one in the box. In modern it's reply or reply with quote. Gets the same job done.

When I look at the complete posting each person's reply is in it's own box, alternating white/grey. In the lower right of each box it says reply and email or no email. At the bottom of all the posts for that subject it says (options) (printer friendly) (posting help) (return to forum) (add reply). The add reply at the bottom puts my reply at the top of the list, just below the op. If I click reply inside the box it adds it below the reply I'm commenting on.
